Recreating Wall-E: Foley
This project involves working with a team of fellow students to recreate a scene from the movie Wall-E from scratch. We recorded all of our own Foley sounds and dialogue. My responsibilities include composing the musical score, voicing Wall-E, helping with audio post, and serving as the lead Foley artist.

Project Update:
This is the final export of our project. We began on September 16, 2024, and completed it on December 16, 2024. As the lead Foley artist, I was responsible for conceptualizing all of the sounds and props. For Wall-E’s head and eye movements, I used the wheels from my R2-D2 robot. To capture the sound of his wheels, I used a drill, which we pitched down in post-production. On an especially windy day, my team decided we wanted to record the sound of a storm for the scene. I went to the highest point on campus with a Zoom recorder and captured 5 minutes of wind audio to incorporate. I also used metal sheets for the banging sounds and a cardboard box filled with various objects to represent Wall-E interacting with his environment. For the musical score, I drew inspiration from the trinkets scattered throughout Wall-E’s world, aiming to replicate that unique, found-object sound.
